Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is an evidenced-based practice for treating trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Acute Stress Disorder. Essentially, EMDR helps us to touch, experience, and process difficult experiences and memories. This allows our memories to become stored in a manner where we can draw on their wisdom without them carrying negative emotional charge, leading to feeling less triggered and overwhelmed in our current lives, feeling less emotional and even physical pain, and experiencing a unified sense of self. While EMDR is my primary therapeutic approach currently, I incorporate skills from a variety of therapy styles, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness in order to support the unique needs of those I serve.

Through being in deep relationship with our physical body, we can sharpen our capacity to experience and find meaning in all that life has to offer, from joy to pain and everything in between.
As a Registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher (RYT-500), I support others to experience more presence and joy, which can translate to less overthinking and stress, through practicing awakened movements and mindfulness of the body, breath, and mind.
Through awareness of what is, we have an opportunity to come home to ourselves. Join me!
